The Municipality of Río Bravo, in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas, has 118,259 inhabitants and Juan Diego Guajardo is the mayor since 2016.
This year Guajardo had to deliver this first annual report to show the achievements of this first year in office, and he produced the following material, using the hit by Gloria Gaynor, ‘I will survive’, to create a viral video posted in his Facebook account.
“I am just one more in this society” is the first sentence of the lyrics of the mayor’s song, which has been viewed by more than 300,000 users in the social network. This initiative has been also criticized by dozens of the residents in Río Bravo, since they considered that the situation of the town is not that good to create this kind of videos.
