The town of La Compuerta (Nayarit) belongs to the municipality of Bahía de Banderas. There are 78 inhabitants and it is 53 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Sayulita is 7 minutes away by car (6 km). It is the most populated town in the position #36 of the whole municipality.
The locality was formerly known as La Harinera (La Compuerta), but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
