The town of Zubuya belongs to the municipality of Bahía de Banderas (State of Nayarit). There are 8 inhabitants and it is 83 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Sayulita is 14 minutes away by car (13 km). In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #82 of the ranking.

The locality was formerly known as Zuya, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2014.
