The town of El Mayela belongs to the municipality of La Paz (State of Baja California Sur). There are 16 inhabitants and it is 35 meters altitude. It is the most populated town in the position #52 of the whole municipality.
This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Rancho Mayela. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
