The town of Los Pinos (Hidalgo) belongs to the municipality of Mineral de la Reforma. There are 257 inhabitants and it is 2,345 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Real de Monte is 22 minutes away by car (20 km). It is the most populated town in the position #71 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as Fraccionamiento Los Pinos, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
