The town of Los Pilares (Tlaxcala) belongs to the municipality of Huamantla. There are 1,682 inhabitants and it is 2,679 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Huamantla is 9 minutes away by car (9 km). It is the most populated town in the position #7 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Ranchería de los Pilares. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2003.
