The town of Los Tuzos belongs to the municipality of Mineral de la Reforma (State of Hidalgo). There are 6,670 inhabitants and it is 2,334 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Real de Monte is 24 minutes away by car (17 km). In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #5 of the ranking.

The locality was formerly known as Fraccionamiento Privada del Sur, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
