The town of El Tenexco belongs to the municipality of Tenango de Doria (State of Hidalgo). There are 155 inhabitants and it is 1,264 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Pahuatlán is 21 minutes away by car (17 km).

The locality was formerly known as Tenexco, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2016, the locality changed its name.
