The town of Los Ahilares belongs to the municipality of Tenango de Doria (State of Hidalgo). There are 139 inhabitants and it is 1,536 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Pahuatlán is 24 minutes away by car (17 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #33 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Los Hilares, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
