The town of Las Flores belongs to the municipality of Tecate (State of Baja California). The Magical Town of Tecate is 17 minutes away by car (16 km). It is the most populated town in the position #179 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as El Shiday, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2019.
