The town of El Saucillo (Hidalgo) belongs to the municipality of Mineral de la Reforma. There are 3,399 inhabitants and it is 2,360 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Real de Monte is 20 minutes away by car (15 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #11 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The inhabitants of the community became separated from those of Abundio Martínez in the year 2010.
