The town of Vida Mejor I (Chiapas) belongs to the municipality of Tapachula. There are 6,758 inhabitants and it is 87 meters altitude. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #3 in terms of number of inhabitants.
The locality was formerly known as El Milagro, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
