The town of El Güérivo (Baja California Sur) belongs to the municipality of Los Cabos. It's a beach town: the beach of Playa Costa Azul is 10 km away. It is the most populated town in the position #511 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as El Guirigo, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
