The town of Playa de Oro belongs to the municipality of Mexicali (State of Baja California). There are 35 inhabitants and it is 36 meters altitude. It's a beach town: the beach of Playa Las Almejas is 4 km away. In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #696 of the ranking.
This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Baja Palms. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2018.
