The town of Xoloxtepec belongs to the municipality of Zoquitlán (State of Puebla). There are 191 inhabitants and it is 2,369 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Huautla de Jiménez is 73 minutes away by car (54 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #37 in terms of number of inhabitants.
The locality was formerly known as Xolochtepec (Tlacotzinga), but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2013.
