The Magical Town of Metepec is 23 minutes away by car (19 km). It is the most populated town in the position #23 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as Xicaltepec Cuexcontitlán (Cuexcontitlán), but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
