The town of Xalcuatla belongs to the municipality of Lolotla (State of Hidalgo). There are 800 inhabitants and it is 343 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Xilitla is 73 minutes away by car (50 km). It is the most populated town in the position #3 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Xalcuhatla. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
