The town of Xajay (Loma del Xajay) belongs to the municipality of Villa del Carbón (State of Estado de México). There are 497 inhabitants and it is 2,370 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Villa del carbón is 39 minutes away by car (28 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #20 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Xhajay, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
