The town of Tzajalum (Chiapas) belongs to the municipality of Yajalón. There are 30 inhabitants and it is 1,019 meters altitude. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #145 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Tzajalumil, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2019.
