The town of Tres Nueces (La Chiripa) belongs to the municipality of Ramos Arizpe (State of Coahuila). The Magical Town of Arteaga is 15 minutes away by car (15 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #99 in terms of number of inhabitants.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as La Chiripa. The community's inhabitants joined those of Ramos Arizpe in the year 2012. This town decided to change its name in the year 2009.
