The town of Tampemoche belongs to the municipality of Aquismón (State of San Luis PotosÃ). There are 1,787 inhabitants and it is 402 meters altitude. This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Tam pemoch (Tampemoche). The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
