The town of El Bordo belongs to the municipality of El Marqués (State of Querétaro). There are 56 inhabitants and it is 1,967 meters altitude. It is the most populated town in the position #81 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Sección Este de Chichimequillas. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2015.
