The town of Las Brisas del Mar belongs to the municipality of Carmen (State of Campeche). It's a beach town: the beach of Playa Bahamita is 5 km away. The locality was formerly known as San Carlos Segundo, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
