It was formerly known as Roca Dura.

The town of Roca Dura belongs to the municipality of Morelia (State of Michoacán). There are 268 inhabitants and it is 1,893 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Tzintzuntzan is 50 minutes away by car (43 km).

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Roca Dura. This town decided to disannex from La Mintzita (Piedra Dura) in the year 2019. In the year 2020, the locality changed its name.
