The town of Rancho Nuevo Amanecer belongs to the municipality of Santa María Xadani (State of Oaxaca). It's a beach town: the beach of Playa Salinas is 13 km away. It is the most populated town in the position #20 of the whole municipality.

You may know this town as Rancho Santa Martha (Rancho las Ovejas), because this was its former name. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2019.
