The town of Los Alacranes (Guerrero) belongs to the municipality of Iguala de la Independencia. There are 11 inhabitants and it is 715 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Taxco is 47 minutes away by car (39 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #77 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Rancho los Alacranes, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2020.
