The town of Rancho el Galpón belongs to the municipality of Ayapango (State of Estado de México). There are 24 inhabitants and it is 2,481 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Tlayacapan is 55 minutes away by car (42 km). It is the most populated town in the position #19 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as El Galpón. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
