The town of Rancho Chimalhuacán belongs to the municipality of Calimaya (State of Estado de México). There are 33 inhabitants and it is 2,721 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Metepec is 14 minutes away by car (11 km). It is the most populated town in the position #24 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as Chimalhuacán, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
