The town of El Palenque belongs to the municipality of León (State of Guanajuato). There are 13 inhabitants and it is 2,040 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Lagos de Moreno is 43 minutes away by car (38 km). In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #601 of the ranking.

The locality was formerly known as Quinta las Delicias, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2019.
