The town of La Jungla belongs to the municipality of Catazajá (State of Chiapas). There are 5 inhabitants and it is 32 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Palenque is 36 minutes away by car (25 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #117 in terms of number of inhabitants.
The locality was formerly known as Paraíso del Carmen, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
