The town of Pedregal de la Montaña belongs to the municipality of Silao (State of Guanajuato). There are 211 inhabitants and it is 1,783 meters altitude. It is the most populated town in the position #342 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as Noria de Sopeña (Los Hernández), but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2019.
