The town of Nuevo Cerritos (Nuevo León) belongs to the municipality of García. There are 27 inhabitants and it is 796 meters altitude. It is the most populated town in the position #28 of the whole municipality.
The locality was formerly known as Los Potros, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
