The town of La Biznaga belongs to the municipality of Magdalena (State of Sonora). There are 12 inhabitants and it is 788 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Magdalena de Kino is 13 minutes away by car (10 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #81 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as La Viznaga (El Recodo), but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2015.
