The town of El Panal (State of Mexico) belongs to the municipality of Polotitlán. There are 144 inhabitants and it is 2,398 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Aculco is 15 minutes away by car (14 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #22 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as La Nave, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
