The town of Barrio la Mina (San Luis Potosí) belongs to the municipality of Aquismón. There are 282 inhabitants and it is 683 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Aquismón is 30 minutes away by car (20 km). In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #56 of the ranking.

The locality was formerly known as La Mina, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
