The town of Colonia la Bomba (State of Mexico) belongs to the municipality of Lerma. There are 86 inhabitants and it is 2,575 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Metepec is 18 minutes away by car (16 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #62 in terms of number of inhabitants.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as La Bomba. The community's inhabitants joined those of Lerma de Villada in the year 2012. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
