The town of Héroe de Nacozari belongs to the municipality of Cuautla (State of Morelos). There are 388 inhabitants and it is 1,276 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Tlayacapan is 35 minutes away by car (27 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #21 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Héroes de Nacozari, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2010.
