The town of Chaparral (Quintana Roo) belongs to the municipality of Othón P. Blanco. There are 7 inhabitants and it is 13 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Bacalar is 45 minutes away by car (35 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #190 in terms of number of inhabitants.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Hermanos Cantú. The Mexican authorities declared this village as uninhabited in 2020.
