The town of Guadalupe Llano de las Avispas belongs to the municipality of Santiago Tilantongo (State of Oaxaca). There are 35 inhabitants and it is 1,624 meters altitude. In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #21 of the ranking.

The locality was formerly known as Guadalupe Tilantongo (Llano de las Avispas), but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2019.
