The town of Esperanza (Chiapas) belongs to the municipality of Yajalón. There are 7 inhabitants and it is 1,260 meters altitude. It is the most populated town in the position #194 of the whole municipality.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Esperanza Sétzer. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
