The town of El Veladero (Hidalgo) belongs to the municipality of San Agustín Metzquititlán. There are 135 inhabitants and it is 1,706 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Metztitlán is 46 minutes away by car (38 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #12 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Veladero, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2020.
