The town of San José de Guadalupe (Guanajuato) belongs to the municipality of San Miguel de Allende. There are 17 inhabitants and it is 2,081 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Comonfort is 31 minutes away by car (29 km). It is the most populated town in the position #176 of the whole municipality.

The locality was formerly known as El Saltito, but changed its name a few years ago. The inhabitants of this community decided to change its name in 2019.
