The town of El Habillal (Guerrero) belongs to the municipality of Petatlán. There are 6 inhabitants and it is 37 meters altitude. It's a beach town: the beach of Playa Icacos is 25 km away. The Magical Town of Zihuatanejo is 48 minutes away by car (45 km).

The locality was formerly known as El Avillal, but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
