The town of El Agüita belongs to the municipality of José Azueta (State of Guerrero). There are 13 inhabitants and it is 136 meters altitude. It's a beach town: the beach of Madera is 5 km away. The Magical Town of Zihuatanejo is 4 minutes away by car (3 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #88 in terms of number of inhabitants.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as El Agüitas. This town decided to change its name in the year 2010.
