The town of Dolores (Tlaxcala) belongs to the municipality of Calpulalpan. The Magical Town of Otumba de Gómez Farías is 40 minutes away by car (37 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #99 in terms of number of inhabitants.

This town has recently changed its name. It used to be known as Carmelita. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
