The town of Oro Verde belongs to the municipality of Catazajá (State of Chiapas). There are 4 inhabitants and it is 60 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Palenque is 22 minutes away by car (17 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #178 in terms of number of inhabitants.
The locality was formerly known as Dayzu, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2019.
