The town of Crucero de Alaquines belongs to the municipality of Alaquines (State of San Luis Potosí). There are 28 inhabitants and it is 1,275 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Ciudad del Maíz is 60 minutes away by car (47 km). Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #34 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Crucero del Llano, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2015.
