The town of Coloso belongs to the municipality of Iguala de la Independencia (State of Guerrero). There are 28 inhabitants and it is 787 meters altitude. The Magical Town of Taxco is 42 minutes away by car (33 km). In the list of the most populated towns of the whole municipality, it is the number #76 of the ranking.

The locality was formerly known as Colosio, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2015.
