The town of San Martín del Valle (Puebla) belongs to the municipality of Zapotitlán. There are 380 inhabitants and it is 1,647 meters altitude. Of all the towns in the municipality, it occupies the number #6 in terms of number of inhabitants.

The locality was formerly known as Colonia San Martín, but changed its name a few years ago. This town decided to change its name in the year 2017.
