The town of Coaxcomac belongs to the municipality of Xochitepec (State of Morelos). There are 253 inhabitants and it is 1,118 meters altitude. The locality was formerly known as Col. Cuaxcomac (El Kilómetro Cuatro y Medio), but changed its name a few years ago. In the year 2010, the locality changed its name.
